Oh would I love to sit and talk Tolstoy. When I reread War and Peace I was astonished at how he had matured. Time to head back. Divorce. Had no idea all these years that I was Aleksander Karenin. Honesty is the best policy and sometimes we pay the price for our frankness. I would love to be able to take your course, you are teaching what you are passionate about and I would expect this at a University level. All faculties have professors with different points of view, even at the science level, and diversity is important. Where would science be if the professors had to all share the same thought process? The extent to which this has gone viral is ridiculous. I plan on reading a David Gilmour book very soon.

I have recently retired as a Senior Lecturer in Physics at U of T. But when I was much much younger I noticed that any fiction that I read and really liked was by a male author. The only exception was Virginia Woolf. Then I discovered Evelyn Waugh. So my list briefly expanded to two women authors. Then when I discovered that EW was a man it collapsed back to one. Fortunately, I taught Physics so didn\'t have to deal with the problems you\'re currently dealing with at Vic.
