What did you like best about the site?

First, I appreciate the fact that there exists a site for this wonderful singer.

Her song \"Those were the days\" used to be played at my hostel lounge at IIT, Bombay almost every day by someone. It was an LP record ( in the late \'70s) and her rich, soulful voice used to make me sad and happy at the same time. There is something indescribably beautiful about this song, and no one could have rendered it better than Mary Hopkin.

Everything!

Why she never won the Eurovision Song Contest I'll never know!
Mary has an angelic voice, beautiful looks and a wonderful smile.
I have all of her CD's apart from her latest release. Unfortunatly the ship which had my record collection on sank off Malta in 1974 and I lost my "Inchworm" LP. Still I now have the CD.

I have listened to Mary since I was a very young man, and her music has always touched my very soul. It is not many who can bring out those kind of feelings in someone, and that makes her a very special lady. I wish her the best, and I thank her for the impact her music has had on my life.

I spent a number of years living in the Wirral, and then Liverpool. I admire Mary's voice. I really have not heard better. Although I am not a Welsh speaker, she brings Welsh lyrics to my ears in an almost understandable way. I once tried to learn the Welsh alphabet in Cynwyd in the late 50s; I failed miserably, but I love the sound of what must be an original British language.
