I am researching my Great Grandfather, John Addison who married Ruth Hodgson in Lancaster. He was born in 1851 in Preston but the family roots appear to be from further north and into Furness. Any confirmation of this would be welcome!

Searching on behalf of my US close family for place of abode and living relatives of William Orman, b 16th Feb 1867 in Newbarns, Dalton. He emigrated (probably with cousin John Orman) to New York in March 1892. The \"Ormans\" became \"Normans\" Stateside and are now spread from Minnisota to Illinois. I will be bringing Jodi (William\'s Great Grandaughter) with her family to Dalton in August 2016 so any info would be welcome.
