Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I so fondly remember countless hours sitting at Tutmarc Realty with my dad.... I also remember Mr. Tutmarc's encouragement to me when I was in the AG Bible Quiz Finals at NW College (1981?). Greetings from NYC - if you are ever in NYC please say hello. |

With delight, I will always recall my lifelong friendship with Bud -- filled with music, exuberant laughter, and optimism. Most significantly, we often recounted that we had merged our blood-lines in three wonderful grandchildren that we both shared. I look forward to joining him again before long in the Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. |

Dear Tutmarc Family, I remember playing Bud's music over and over again when I worked at the Evangel Bible Book Store in San Jose, Calif. and enjoying his wonderful steel guitar music. I played the steel guitar myself in Seattle while taking lessons with the National Institute of Music and Arts. It was my pleasure to grow up here and to finally meet him personally at a park in Kenmore, WA with our church sponsoring his visit. I fondly remember hearing his music and hearing of the Tutmarc Realty when it became a familier name here. He and his wonderful music will be greatly missed and I am so glad that I can still enjoy it on the album I have of his. He touched many lives including mine. Thanks for the memories, Bud and my condolances goes out to all of you in the family who I am sure loved and cherished him very much. He has certainly left a mark on the lives of many in this world. Blessings on all of you at this sad time but also for a joyeous homegoing as well. Well done thou good and faithful servant. |

Dear Tutmarc family: I was in Miss Black's class at View Ridge School with Bud's son Doug. I remember when Bud came to me and told me how well I had done in my part at an elementary school play. I didn't realize how well he had done in both music and real estate. My heart goes out to the Tutmarc family at their loss of a truly remarkable man. |

Distance did not separate my 58 year-long friendship with 'Bud'. As a young man, Bud was my mentor, my Hawaiian steel guitar teacher and a very strong Christian influence. He was one fun guy!!My family and I send LOVE and deepest sympathy to Opal and the children. |

I played my french horn many years for Bud at Calvary Temple for special events, contatas, and was also in the brass choir he led called Revelation Brass. He was at the forefront of church musicals and putting together tremendous productions that were emulated by all the other church music departments in the Seattle area. Bud will be greatly missed, but his vision and influence will live on in the many of us who were blessed by his life. |

There are certain people on this earth who make the world better, but there seem to be few. Bud is an example of one of those. He brought a voice and music artestry that touched our weary bodies and calmed our souls. God touched his fingers with fulness for playing the steel, a voice to give the words, and a mind for arranging the music. His commitment to his Savior was evident in all aspects of his life. His hard work and talent brought us closer to God. Thank you, Bud. God bless you Opal, Greg and Doug Sincerely, Bob & Carol Strum |

Our fondest memories of Bud revolve around the Calvary Temple music program during his tenure. We participated in his choir from the 1960s into the 80s. We met in his choir in 1963. Doris had been singing with Bud for a couple of years before I came to Seattle fresh from the farm in southern Idaho. My pastor, Pete Petersen, was a classmate of Bud's at Northwest; when I told Pete I was going to Seattle to work, he insisted I contact Bud and bring him greetings from his old friend. Bud was a big-time encourager who helped me and others to bring our utmost enthusiastic efforts to our singing, doing our best to make a joyful noise to the Lord. One anthem that epitomizes Bud's philosophy is Sine Nomine (For All the Saints), a triumphant view of the rewards awaiting the faithful. We will miss him a lot, and hope his family will be comforted by these expressions of love and respect. |

Dear Tutmarc Family Our love and prayers go out to each and every heart that is saddened with the loss of their husband, Dad or grandpa. Without Bud, we would not have our wonderful brother-in-law Greg and our niece Elizabeth and nephews Shane and Brandon. Bud was the one who saw my sister Brenda and told Greg that she was "it". We always take Bud's wonderful Hawaiian guitar music with us when we go to Hawaii. You can't beat it. It's the best. We will now treasure it even more. May the peace of God be with you as you go through the next days and weeks. We love you. |

Our hearts go out to all of you to have the separation from Bud, whom you all loved so much and we loved and admired from afar. I am so thankful that he had a relationship with our Lord and Savior, which makes this time apart a little easier to handle, but I know that pain is there for you all and again our hearts go out to you. We wish we could be there with you during this time. May God bless you with peace during this time of transition! With Love, |

I have fond memories of Bud directing the CA Choir. Nearly 40 years ago I joined scores of other young singers at Calvary Temple at Christmas time when Bud rehearsed us to record the albums we would sell to pay for our summer choir tours. He was such a joy to sing for. As a tribute to him I wrote the following poem. A Tut-like Mark Much like King Tut, Bud left his mark that will survive his death. This gifted man who loved his God gave hymns (now old) new breath. Aloha shirts, a winsome smile his legacy of song. We’ll miss our friend whose steel guitar could paint a new day’s dawn. |

Dear Opal and family: When someone as dear and devoted as bud is promoted to glory, we know that our loss is heaven's gain. His love for the Lord, his church, his family, and his college was a blessing to us. He will not be forgotten. He was always so involved in what we were doing, especially during our years as serving as president of Northwest University. We pray that all of God's promises for times like this are being fulfilled in your lives. |

Dear Opal and family, I was our privilege of knowing Bud for over 50 years. We remember when he first came to Denver with a group of students and played at Central Assembly. (Now Calvary Temple) Marjorie and I both had the honor of accompanying Bud on the Piano/Organ on several occasions. What I dear person! The last time I we saw him was at MusiCal where he attended year after year. That last time, he was on a 'walker' but would sail around those halls and I so admired his desire to be there among his peers even though he was not doing well physically. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Paul & Marjorie Ferrin |
