Does anyone recall a Maturo family from East New York in the 1940's? The mother, Theresa, left her husband Jimmy, with two little girls. The little girls names were Mary and Jeanette and were about 5 yrs and 3 yrs old when the mother ran away and left them.
They are my mother and aunt and I am looking to find Theresa's other children that she had after deserting the little girls.
Does anyone have any recollections? My family geneology keeps finding a dead end.

I knew a Claudette Maturo who lived off Williams Ave or off Alabama Ave acros from Piel's Beer in East New York. Her father's name is John Maturo and her mother's name is Marie Maturo. This was back in the 1960's.

I just got to see this 4 years later!! Claudette was my mother Jeanette's cousin. My mother's father was Johnny Maturo's brother, Jimmy aka "Juicy". His wife Theresa left him with my mother and her sister Mary. I'm trying to fiure out whatever happened to Theresa - whether she ran off or was killed. She basically vanished.
