Absent Friends

I sat watching " Murder on the gallop" an old black & white film I think was made in 1963, it had Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple, Robert Morley as Hector Enderby, Flora Robson as Miss Milchrest and the one and only Charles 'Bud' Tingwell as Inspector Craddock, what a fine actor he was, we were so lucky to have had him as Dad in Catweazle, it was really quite funny everytime he spoke I was waiting for him to shout 'CARROT' or 'COME ON SAM LETS GET ON' what a legacy these fine actors and actresses have left us with, it is at times like this we can remember 'CARROT' Robin Davies, Sam Neil McCARTHY, and Groome Peter Butterworth, to name but a few, I should like to give a toast to their fine work and a big thank-you for the memories, God Bless you all, if anyone would like to add anything and join me in this tribute then please do.

Re: Absent Friends

I think you've said it all Graham - these wonderful actors may be gone, but they will certainly never be forgotten. They have indeed left a fine legacy behind them - thank goodness for TV and DVDs which give us the chance to see them over and over again and keep them in memory.
