Re: Presentation

Thanks for the comments!

No, no presentation. All that was required was a demo of the project, the report (as on the website) and a hand written logbook showing development work throughout the year. The videos on the website were also included in the report on a self running CD (READ: idiot proof!) just in case the robot decided not to work on the demo day.

Slightly Off Topic:
The tutor said at the outset the logbook was probably the most important as it showed the project wasn't just copied (from a website like this!) and that even if the project didn't work then the logbook would show stages of progression. It was carried around (work, college) etc every day for about 8 months and had every little random scribbling, thought, diagram, email, useful website and datasheet etc in it. Every entry was dated so progression was traceable; I wasn't impressed when we were first told we had to do it. It was hard work at first to remember to fill it in and carry it everywhere and but it was much easier than trying to fake it at the end of term (as many people had to!) and made the project easier as you had all everything in one place so you didn't have to search out bits of info (like web addresses, part no.s and datasheets) everytime you wanted to do some work on it. I was definately a fan of the logbook approach by the end of project.
