Looking for information about My Great Uncle Henry 'Butch' Newton

As the title says, all i know is that he served with KOYLI, i don't know his army number or the dates/years he served, all i know that he was sometimes called 'Butch' newton and that he was a P.O.W. who helped to build the infamous bridge over the River Kwai, fortunately he survived and came home but died a few years later due to cancer.

Luckily enough i have got a photo of him and i do know that he was imprisoned along with D H MASSEY and also ERNEST HOPKINSON, ERNEST unfortunately died in a POW camp and is buried in Chungkai war cemetery.

If anyone has any information whether it's only small, then i would love to hear from you.

Thanks in advance.
