Seems like this is unfortunately not a very active website. I was hoping there'd be people on here who could recommend how to find a doctor to see for hypermobility and what can be done about it. I don't know how I'd find any phys therapist here specializing in it when it seems that the syndrome or condition so to speak is only popularly known in England in a few places. I don't see any listing of clinics in the US. I mean if we don't live in the UK where the heck are we supposed to go for care where someone isn't going to be like ok yeah you're hypermobile, thanks for the money I get from your office visit, what u expected me to do something about it, I just told you u have it, that's good enough for US doctors I think. So I don't want to waste money on some stupid dr to tell me something I already know, like I'm too flexible. I want something to goshdarn do about it and I don't care if it is experimental or whatnot, I want options. So anyway, I have clickety writs and my knees make crackign noises and I get terrible chronic IT band problems, pain at the side of the knees, esp if I try to wear high heels, yes, my arches collapse except my arch is actually high so I don't collapse to flat, but I pretty much can't survive walking without an orthotic any more so I can't dress up like other women. My fingers hurt all the time that I feel like I'm 36 with the fingers of someone 86. I just figure it is loose joints, not arthritis, but maybe both if the loose joints causes arthritis so I guess I'd have to see some reumatologist. I want to crack my fingers all the time and I know someone can tell me to stop that and I snap my wrists too, esp when it is going to rain, u know how you just feel more achy and it bugs the heck out of you, somehow the darn barometric pressure affects your joints? I feel my fingers hurting right now like a warm throbbing. I just bent my wrist down the slightest bit and they made this light cracking noise. I have terrible pain in my back and I can crack that also. I injured my hamstring over 10 years ago, had surgery last year that failed and now can't stand or walk much. I'm like somehow becoming more crippled every year and I don't even have HEDS or EDS, just some fairly loose joints. I've never tried to do anything wierd like a pretzel, I didn't even know I was loose jointed until a few years ago. Anyway, I probably shouldn't keep writign since I don't know if anyone will ever read this!
