I just don't understand why people keep posting under names like this and never even leave at least an email! I do not have a scanner. All of my photos are uploaded to the web by a digital camera (just so you know). I wish I did have a scanner because I do have some pictures that I took with a normal camera that are just beautiful. -Mandy

Dear Wondering, why do you post under a name like this and don't leave your real name? Anyhow, as for some of my dogs being OFA PENDING for a year I had the x-rays done for THAT YEAR, and the dog's hips were normal. Exuse me for takingso long to send them off to OFA. My puppy buyers can come see my x-rays in person before they buy a puppy and the other health reports. I would like to know exactly WHO you are? I find it odd that you didnt post your name? Hmmmmmmmm. Well, for your information, my dogs hve been evaluated with a doppler by a cardiologist, I recently did a few of my dogs at the Portland Oregon (Rose City Classic) show but that was with a stephescope so I had it re-done with a doppler by another cadiologist on the two dogs I did at that show. Don't believe me? Then give me a call and you are welcome to come up in PERSON, and see them for yourself. Just because I don't have it certified with OFA doesnt mean it isnt done. All OFA need to put a dog in their database if a report from a cardiologist stating that they are normal (or given a grade), so why would I need to send it to OFA? Just for spend extra money and so I can PROVE it with a number. I can PROVE it with my report here. So I see no need for me to rush in the report of OFA. Want to see my CERF reports too? Come right on up and i'll be glad to show them to you. Yes I KNOW that the cadiac should be done over a year, but you know it can be done before that. I had Mercury done at 10 months old at the Portland show. I WILL take my time if I please to send results to OFA and get it RECORDED FOR THE PUBLIC. The HEALTH TESTING IS DONE on my dogs. If you are so interested in poking around at my health testing just because I didnt send it to OFA then I will just have to let you take a visit here and see the reports yourself. I also know few APBT with the heart murmers.

Do you recomend testing the heart young?? if they have a murmer as a pup and it clears would you ever breed that dog???



To me it is a toss between the hips and the heart. I think both are VERY needed.

I would have to say OFA Cardiac. I hate it when I see people bragging about OFA good hips and they breed the dog and never know it has a grade 4 cardia murmur! A lot of AmStaffs have been found with this problem, its almost as bad as the hip problem we have. I'll never understand why people don't bother with the OFA cardiac. All of my dogs have been checked out by a cardiologist with a doppler and no murmurs are dedected. But there are a lot of lines out their that a really bad about murmurs, but they have great hips. ALL HEALTH matters, not just the hips in my opinon. -Mandy

i would have to say hips ofa hips just because it is the main one that is being done and it is a big problem and is coming up more and more with the dogs being bred heavier and bigger then used to be!
