Thank you so much for your message! Thurs afternoon i was just finishing my half an hour of clinching (very tired) when the trainer put all his weight on me and my leg gave out anterially and my knee made a huge POPing noise and i fell to the ground screaming... I had Xrays done no bone damage but the specialist said it is to swollen to look at the ligaments so he put me in a half cast and said he'd see me next friday! I am left in Limbo of the unknown but staying positive as getting down helps nothing.
You are truly the best fighter i have ever fought and i am grateful i got the chance to fight when i did you brought my game up thats forsure. Thanks again for your message and i hope the best for your fight career in the future;)
It ended up being a medial colateral tear. So the inside of my knee ligament partially tore off the femour head when i was twisted and pulled down in the clinch. it is the most common tear with athletes! I was on crutches for 5 weeks and now can almost walk normal, most athletes return to their sport by ten weeks. I hit the bag yesturday for the first time in 5 1/2 weeks and felt awsome but still not solid on my feet so i wont be fighting anytime soon but will build up strength daily through exercises and training more and more everyday!
I am glad this injury will fully recover and i will be in the ring fighting! just not sure when;)
Just a heads up though to all the fighters out there this injury was caused by stress on the knee joint from not enough stretching and strengthening i just ran and did fight training for months without any crosstraining. So make sure you stretch and do some strengthening exersices on the side to avoid overuse injuries!!!!
Was good to finally meet you to Ray
Hope training is going well for you Carley dont forget to stretch...lol. Are you fighting in the queens cup do you know? would love to watch it if you are let me know please!!!
Thanks to everyone for your support, to Dianna and my trainer Tuk at RawaiMuaythai for constantly taking care and looking out for me, much appreciated
