Rawai Muay Thai trainer and Thai boxing legend Nam Sak Noi is getting married tomorrow, May 4th, 2009. All students who want to attend the reception are welcome. Tuk and Fin will be driving their pick-ups. We leave at 7am on Monday May 4th. We'll be back in Phuket Monday night.

Whats the main difference between western and thai weddings?

In Thailand the majority of the population is Buddhist and a minority is Muslim. Wedding ceremonies differ by religion. Nam Sak Noi is Muslim so they had a Muslim ceremony first where elders from the local mosque come to sing and bless the couple. Then after that there is the reception, which is very similar to wedding receptions all around the world. Friends and family come to congratulate the newlyweds and offer money to them to help them start their life together.
