Reading about some of the older singers who may still be going. Vic Damone, Tony Martin. Billy Eckstein et al., Bob Sands of "When the world was Young" fame could sing most of them off the stage. Left the 'pop' scene I believe and went into light opera. No wonder. Believe he died a few years ago. Lived in the same block as Margaret Whiting but she told me he moved away in poor health.

Whatever happend to Herb Jefferies, by the way. Great powerful voice.
