Out of Bounds
The former Archbishop of Canterbury (leader of the world's 77 million Anglicans)
George Carey told reporters that the Episcopal Church in the USA overstepped
its boundries by consecrating openly gay V. Gene Robinson as bishop (November03).
Carey was quoted in an AP story saying, "I think it's gone beyond the Scripture
and the Christian tradition."
The former Anglican leader attended a 3-day summit in Colorado sponsored
by the Anglican Communion Institute about how to handle the schism happening
due to the ordination of a homosexual. Some of the proposals that came forth
from the meeting will be presented at a later date to the Lambeth Commission
for consideration. The core platform refused assembly admission, or at least
invalidation, of any bishop that supported the gay man's consecration. Such
would be unable to vote in any decisions. Parishes that supported the ordination
were proposed to be 'spun off' the Anglican Communion and be forced to become
independent. Carey was pleased with the outcome of the meetin and its agenda.

Pain in Maine
The Governor of Maine, John Baldacci, passed a law allowing 'domestic
partnerships' in the state. Now, the 'domestic partners' can receive benefits
and inheritnace rights that were formerly only due to married, and therefore
opposite sex, couples. The state is still upholding its 1997 banning of
homosexual 'marriage.'

Orthodox Turmoil
Turkish Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I, head of the world's Orthodox
Christians, said that a dispute over control of dioceses in northern Greece
with Greek Orthodox church leader, Archbishop Christodoulos, has caused him
to decide to suspend ecumenical relations. The move may be a temporary one
in the struggle for power in the denomination.

"But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and
said, 'Son, go, work today in my vineyard.' He answered and said, 'I will
not,' but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second
and said likewise. And he answered and said, 'I go, sir,' but he did not
go. Which of the two did the will of his father?" (Matthew 21:28-31

Do a study of the kings of the Old Testament, and one is struck by how many
began their reigns by honoring God, but then drifted from total commitment
to apathy and even to complete apostasy. Rarely do we find men
who began their reigns as corrupt kings, and then later turn to the living
God. Among the kings of Israel and Judah, only wicked King Manasseh
comes to mind (II Chronicles 33:10 - 13)
Even before Israel had a king, God had warned Israel of the dangers of power,
money, and women and their corrupting influence upon national leadership
(Deuteronomy 17:14 - 17). Too few leaders either then or now have heeded
this warning.
Two kings, one an Israelite and one a Gentile, offer an object lesson.
The Israelite had all the advantages of a royal lineage, a vision and mandate
from God, all the wisdom the Holy Spirit could give, peace, wealth,
honor, and security. God even talked to him in visions. Yet he
turned from God and built high places to Moloch and Chemosh. That was
the tragedy of Solomon.
The Gentile king began as a tyrant and a terror to the house of Judah.
He conquered and deported the entire nation. He was pompous and powerful,
and worshipped the false gods of his fathers. Yet, near the end of
his life, after an encounter with the true God, this Gentile king declared,
"Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all
of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride
He is able to put down." (Dan 4:37 NKJV)
I once heard a preacher say that it's not so much how you begin the race,
but how you end it. Now, that's not precisely true because one who
runs the race correctly from start to finish has great advantages.
Nevertheless, it is certainly better to end well than begin well. This
we see in Jesus' parable in Matthew 21. Saying "I go, sir" is not enough;
it's the act of going that counts - Lenny

The Survey Says
Copy cat. Teens, and adults, seem to copy cds and download MP3s quite often.
The Barna Research Group published results on a recent survey in which teenagers
were asked about copying CDs for friends and downloading unauthorized music
from the Internet. The teens were asked whether they feel the two common
forms of music piracy were morally right, morally wrong, or not a moral issue
at all. According to the Barna website: "Only 1 in every 13 teenagers (8%)
expressed moral opposition to piracy – claiming that both copying CDs
for others and unauthorized downloading were morally wrong." The results
also showed more than twice as many (21%) teens think that "both CD burning
and downloading are morally OK." 65% of teens believe that "music piracy
is not a moral issue, or they possess inconsistent views about CD burning
and downloading (that is, believing one is wrong while the other is fine)."
Another 6% of teenagers said they were “undecided” about the morality of
music piracy. Christian teens, or those who identify themselves as such,
differ only slightly in their percentages!

Deceiving Even the Elect if possible
SEVEN NOAHIDE LAWS
The Hassidism, a movement founded by the Ukraine-born Israel ben Eliezer,
who became known as Baal Shem Tov, or "The Master of the Good Name" (A.D.
1698-1760) is growing at immense proportions. Baal Shem Tov studied Kabbalah
under Rabbi Isaac Luria. One of Baal Shem Tov's followers, Polish Kabbalist
Rabbi Schnuer Zalman, founded a movement called Chabad, or "Lubavitcher,"
and wrote the "Tanya" in 1796, the "key" to Jewish mysticism. Seven successor
Rabbis followed, the last being Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson (A.D.
1902-1994), known simply as the "Rebbe." This charismatic figure urged Jews
to act as Jews by studying Torah and performing the 613 mitzvos, etc., and
for all "Gentiles" to become aware of and honor the Noahide Laws.
They believe that when enough people have done this, Messiah will come (some
Lubavitchers believe that Rabbi Schneerson himself is the Messiah who will
be resurrected).
Daniel 7:25 informs us that during the next "age", the fourth empirical Beast
will govern by new laws. The Antichrist might come to be known in a world
war (mimicking the foretold coming of Christ) and may be seen as the coming
of Messiah by the Jews.
This new world government may possibly reinstitute what are called the seven
Noahide Laws. According to the Encyclopedia of Religion, the Noahide Laws
are derived from a Cabalistic interpretation of the Torah. Essentially these
laws are condensed from a 1990 edition of the Institute of Judaic-Christian
Researcher:
(1) Thou shalt not engage in idol worship.
(2) Thou shalt not blaspheme God.
(3) Thou shalt not shed innocent blood.
(4) Thou shalt not engage in bestial, incestuous, adulterous or homosexual
relations not commit the act of rape.
(5) Thou shalt not steal.
(6) Thou shalt establish laws and courts of law to administer these laws,
including the death penalty for those who kill, administered only if there
is one testifying eyewitness.
(7) Thou shalt not be cruel to animals."
A person may be convicted in a Noahide court by the
testimony of a single witness, but only if the witness is known to be righteous.
(Mishneh Torah, Laws of Witnesses, chapter 11, law 2)
Jamma M., the author of 'Rapture Watch', said,"The danger of these laws is
very subtle. Who will determine what is classified as an idol? Which God
or gods are they speaking of? Who will define blasphemy of the god of choice?
The Old Testament required 2 or 3 witnesses for a death sentence and strictly
forbade the execution of a person by the word of one witness (Deut. 17:6)"
The Encyclopedia Of Judaism says these laws "…are felt to represent at least
a formulation of basic, intuitive ‘natural law’...as a mechanism for non-Jews
to be governed under Jewish jurisdiction." The same Encyclopedia mentions
further that, "Full-page ads in the New York Times and other newspapers have
proclaimed: ‘All nations of the world: Fulfill the 7 universal Noahide Laws
given to you in the Torah of Moses.’"
The Encyclopedia Of Judaism also quotes the Talmud saying, "One additional
element of greater severity is that violation of any one of the seven laws
subjects the Noahide to capital punishment by decapitation. (Sanh.
57A)"
If indeed these laws are those used for global governance, it could be that
refusal to worship the Antichrist may be viewed as a violation of the second
Noahide Law and the death penalty extended, given the above Talmudic quote.
The seventh law, pushed by animal rights activists, may prompt what we read
in Daniel 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the
prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the
place of his sanctuary was cast down.
Now, the Old Testament laws the Lubavitcher reserves for Jews alone while
the Noahide laws are the minimum law for a Gentile. The Lubavitchers encourage
that a Gentile keep other laws but expressly NOT IN THE MANNER THAT THE JEWS
DO. The following statement comes from one of the many Chabad websites:
"If a Noahide is striving in the learning of Torah
or keeping the Sabbath in the manner of Jews or reveals new aspects of Torah,
he may be physically restrained and informed that he is liable for capital
punishment, but is not put to death...The action taken against him is only
meant to dissuade him from doing forbidden acts. If the court that is established
in consonance with the Seven Universal Laws gives the death penalty to a
Noahide, the execution is an atonement for this person's transgression, and
consequently one who transgresses and is punished by the court can merit
a portion in the World to Come. Furthermore, the Noahide must experience
reincarnation to be able to atone for transgressions he had done."
So if a person was to believe God - rather than obey men - and keep the 7th
day sabbath holy, observe the holydays, read Torah out loud or study parts
'not meant for Gentiles' then... they could be beheaded.
By this time we will understand the meaning of Revelation
20:4 And I saw thrones, and they that sat on them. And judgment was given
to them, and to the souls of the ones having been beheaded because of the
witness of Jesus, and because of the Word of God, and who had not worshipped
the beast nor its image, and had not received the mark on their forehead
and on their hand.

US Promotes Noahides
Did you know that the U.S. Congress has, every year since 1978, passed Joint
Resolutions, and American Presidents have signed Proclamations, designating
"Education Day" in honor of the "Rebbe" and proclaiming the Noahide Laws
the basis of civilization? Below is the text of the Resolution (H.J. Res.
