Holy Terror

The Italian newspaper La Stampa recently interviewed the Roman Catholic president
emeritus of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace - Cardinal Roger
Etchegaray. Etchegaray said: "Nothing is more difficult … to combat than
terrorism." He continued, [Terrorism] "accentuates man's precariousness who,
given the accelerated and often radicalized changes of this world, no longer
likes to live with all his brothers in the varied forms of worship and
religions." He added, "the fatal plague of terrorism is a very serious and
central test for our time." The comments suggests that if a person will not
join or speak well of the ecumenical movement in the churches that they are
unstable, murderous, and essentially have the heart of a terrorist. In the
same interview the Cardinal also blasted what he called the "return of
anti-Semitism in our Old Europe."

Anglican Coercion for Gay Doctrine

Bishop Michael Ingham ordered the closing of the Holy Cross Church in Abbotsford
(Toronto) in a feud with its pastor, James Wagner, who refused to support
the bishop and the Diocese of New Westminster because they favor same-sex
unions. A diocesan spokesperson said the Abbotsford church brought a ceasing
of funding and hence, the closure, upon itself when it tried to ally itself
to another bishop in another diocese.

Queer Ruling
[original storyline sent by Sam & Faye
Stamper Imlay, Mi]

The Ontario Superior Court recently ruled that the Canadian government
'discriminated' against same-sex couples by denying them pension benefits
after the death of one of the gay partners. The benefits were ordered to
be retroactive to 1985 - the year when to the Canadian Charter of Rights
and Freedoms was added 'equality' of sexual orientation. About 75 million
dollars will be doled out to homosexual and lesbians whose 'partners' died
before 1998. Canada is running headlong into this sin with all its deplorable
recent rulings in churches and government.

Isaiah 59:12-15 For our transgressions are multiplied
before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are
with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; In transgressing and lying
against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and
revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment
is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen
in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth
from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him
that there was no judgment.

---------------------

O' No, Canada

And now, introducing Time magazine's 2003 Canadian Newsmaker of the Year:
Michael Leshner and Michael Stark, the first gay couple to receive a legal
marriage licence in Ontario. The Time article said the gay nuptials indicate
"the unprecedented acceleration of social liberalism in Canada in 2003."
The mag continued, "From gay marriage to moves to decriminalize marijuana
and provide supervised injection booths for drug addicts in Vancouver, 2003,
will go down in history as the year that Canada rethought what was taboo."
Over 2,000 same-sex weddings have taken place in Ontario and British Columbia
since the first abominable gay wedding.

Romans 1:26-32 For this cause God gave them up unto
vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that
which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use
of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their
error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their
knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which
are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit,
malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters,
inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding,
covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who
knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy
of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

----------------------

The Survey Says

New York Times/CBS News polled 1,057 people between December 10th-13th on
the topic of gay unions. The poll indicated that 61 percent of Americans
oppose gay marriage (34% favor, 5% no firm opinion).

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as
he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall
surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

U.N. Population Meeting

The Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs
(DESA) of the United Nations recently released its new projections of world
population in the year 2300. In the prepared news release according to the
"medium scenario" projection, "world fertility for every country averages
around two children per woman, world population would rise from today's 6.3
billion persons to around 9 billion persons in 2300. Even at an average of
two children per woman, population continues to rise, albeit slowly, due
to continuously improving longevity (to over 100 years at birth for many
countries). The zero-growth scenario shows that if fertility were just 2
per cent lower than that of the medium-fertility scenario, population size
would stabilize at around 8.3 billion persons."

The news release reported: "The new long-range population projections show
a smaller future population size (9 billion persons) than previous United
Nations long-range projections (10-12 billion). This is primarily due to
the recent fertility declines occurring throughout the developing world and
expectations that future fertility trends in the developing countries will
follow the path experienced by the developed countries."

The report, World Population in 2300, is available on the web site of DESA's
Population Division:

Population Control

In "The First Global Revolution," published by The Council of the Club of
Rome, an international elitist organization, the authors note that:
"In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came
up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages,
famine, and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by
human intervention ...The real enemy, then, is humanity itself."
~
The First Global Revolution: Club of Rome, Alexander King and Bertrand
Schneider, 1991: Pantheon Books, New York, p 115

In the UNESCO Courier of November 1991, Jacques Cousteau wrote:
"The damage people cause to the planet is a function
of demographics - it is equal to the degree of development. One American
burdens the earth much more than twenty Bangladeshes ... This is a terrible
thing to say. In order to stabilize world population, we must eliminate 350,000
people per day. It is a horrible thing to say, but it's just as bad not to
say it."
~ The Population Controllers: New American Magazine: June
27, 1994: p 7.

Speaking at a round-table discussion group at the Gorbachev Conference held
in San Francisco in the fall of 1996, Dr. Sam Keen, a New Age writer and
philosopher stated that there was strong agreement that religious institutions
have to take a primary responsibility for the population explosion. He went
on to say that, "We must speak far more clearly about
sexuality, contraception, about abortion, about values that control the
population, because the ecological crisis, in short, is the population crisis.
Cut the population by 90% and there aren't enough people left to do a great
deal of ecological damage."
Mr. Keen's remarks were met with applause
from the assembled audience made up largely of New Age adherents, Socialists,
Internationalists and occultists. Many of the leading occultists of our modern
world attended that meeting in San Francisco, a meeting organized by Mikhail
Gorbachev, former Director of the Soviet KGB, and later President of Russia.

A Pesticide a Population Control Device?

An effective method of reducing the world population was devised in the early
1960s by a group of environmentalists and population-control adherents. They
set out to block the use of DDT for mosquito and malaria control after it
had been found that the insecticide was extremely effective in saving human
lives: Alexander King, president of the Club of Rome, wrote,
"My own doubts came when DDT was introduced. In Guyana,
within two years, it had almost eliminated malaria. So my chief quarrel with
DDT,in hindsight, is that it has greatly added to the population problem."
~Remembering Silent Spring and its Consequences: J. Gordon
Edwards: a monograph: p 7:

In 1970 The National Academy of Sciences, in their book "Life Sciences,"
stated that, "In little more than two decades DDT has
prevented 500 million deaths due to malaria."
To population-control
advocates, this irresponsible preservation of human life was unconscionable,
so they set out to outlaw further use of the pesticide. Up until 1970 all
reliable scientific data had consistently demonstrated that DDT was completely
safe for both humans and animals. Indeed, DDT was the safest pesticide ever
known to mankind. Furthermore, it was inexpensive and could be widely used
in third-world countries to control the spread of insect-borne diseases.
Accordingly, population-control adherents set out to have DDT banned in the
name of saving the environment. We have all read or heard the contrived stories
alleging that DDT caused softening of eggshells, interfered with the balance
of nature, and endangered humanity by entering into the food chain. In truth,
all of those stories were fabricated, and were simply part of a carefully
coordinated program to block further use of the life-saving pesticide.

William Ruckelshaus was a long-time member of the Environmental Defense Fund,
and the Director of the EPA. He outlawed further use of DDT in 1972 despite
the recommendation of the chairman of the EPA investigating committee which
had heard six months of testimony on use of the pesticide, and had determined
that DDT was completely safe. When Ruckelshaus outlawed further use of DDT,
he signed the death warrant for hundreds of millions of helpless human beings
living in third-world countries. To those energized by the dark side, however,
the loss of hundreds of millions of human lives was relatively inconsequential.

In his monograph, "Remembering Silent Spring and its Consequences," Professor
J. Gordon Edwards quoted from a speech delivered by Victor Yanconne, founder
of the Environmental Defense Fund. In that talk, Mr. Yanconne related a story
told to him by a reporter who had asked Dr. Charles Wurster, one of the major
opponents of DDT, whether a ban on DDT wouldn't actually result in far greater
use of much more toxic pesticides. Dr. Wurster is reported to have replied:
"So what? People are the cause of all the problems.
We have too many of them. We need to get rid of some of them and this is
as good a way as any."
When asked by the same reporter,
"Doctor, how do you square the killing of people with
the mere loss of some birds?"
In an apparent racial slur Dr. Wurster
is reported to have replied, "It doesn't really make
a lot of difference, because organo phosphate acts locally and only kills
farmworkers and most of them are Mexicans and Negroes."
~ Remembering
Silent Spring and its Consequences: J. Gordon Edwards: a monograph: p 7:,
Reported by Chairman John Rarick: House Hearings on the Federal Pesticide
Control Act of 1971, pp 266-267, in Serial No 92-

How many people have died in the past 25 years since the use of DDT was outlawed?
If the National Academy of Sciences was correct in their 1970 assessment
that 500 million lives had been saved by DDT over a twenty-year period, then
we have probably lost well over 600 million human lives during the past
twenty-five years since advocates of population control succeeded in outlawing
DDT. ~ Environmental Overkill: op cited: pp 76-77 and 192 (1995)

Journey To The Center of The Earth

Explorer Steve Currey is organizing a June 26 to July 19, 2005 expedition
to the North Pole to find the alleged polar "opening" to the alleged hollow
center of the Earth - just like the fantasy "Journey To The Center of The
Earth." Currey is one of the leading river explorers in the world. He has
made first descents on the upper Yangtze River in China, Brahmaputra and
Upper Ganges rivers in India, Futaleufu River in Chile, Katun River in Siberia
and Tsangpo River in Tibet through the world's deepest canyon featured in
National Geographic Adventure magazine.

Currey has chartered a nuclear icebreaker with the capacity for 108 passengers
for the purpose of taking a group to find the supposed polar opening to an
interior earth. Passenger hopefuls will pay ticket prices ranging from $18,950
to $20,950 per person. The promoter of this event is Rodney Cluff, LDS author
of World Top Secret: Our Earth Is Hollow. One of the beliefs, of some 4%
of Mormons, is that this inner earth is the political kingdom of God and
is inhabited by descendants of the throne of the biblical King David.
Cluff also believes that the lost Garden of Eden is in the hollowed
earth, and its inhabitants are members of the lost 10 tribes. Cluff
also believes that the inner sun, which is located in the inner earth, is
the throne of Jehovah and a paradise for the dead. Other beliefs he
said he hopes to prove include that UFOs originate from the inner earth,
and solar winds and the inner sun cause the northern lights. The alleged
journey into this fabled land has only been claimed by a few including the
questionable Olaf Jansen and Rear Admiral Richard Evelyn Byrd, U.S.N in his
1947 flight. On The Net:

Sabbath Morning Companion  [Date: 12/26/2003 From: Lenny
Cacchio used with permission]

The Super-Duper Apostles

The word "credentials" comes from the Latin "credere", meaning "to believe,
to trust, to entrust." Because these days we hear the ministry talking about
their credentials (as in "my credentials are held at the such-and such church"),
it should be instructive to see how the Apostle Paul viewed his credentials.

First, he did not go up to Jerusalem to seek his credentials, but instead
went to Arabia and Damascus for three years (Gal. 1:17-19).  He says
he was approved "by God" to be "entrusted with the Gospel" (I Thess. 2:4
NKJV). Remember that one of the definitions of "credere" - to be
"entrusted".

He says further in verse 4 that he didn't speak to please men but God, and
neither did they seek glory from men (verse 6).

When being accused by the false "super apostles" (II Cor. 12:11 NIV), he
defended his apostleship by the things he suffered.  He worked harder,
suffered more whippings and beatings, spent more years in prison, was
shipwrecked, robbed, went hungry, cold and naked, and was stoned and left
for dead. (II Cor. 11:23-27)

He claimed his credentials based on his deep care for the brethren. "Who
is weak and I am not weak?", he wrote to the Corinthians (II Cor. 11:28-29).
He suffered and did not run as a hireling would.

His credentials were based on the visions he saw when he was caught up into
the third heaven (II Cor. 12:1-5). And then he lists what the sign of an
apostle are: "The things that mark an apostle -- signs, wonders and miracles
-- were done among you with great perseverance." (II Cor 12:12-13 NIV) Without
these signs, the Corinthians could rest assured that their "super apostles"
weren't so super after all.

A passage in Paul's first letter to the Corinthians gives us further insight
into what was important to Paul.  In the ninth chapter (verse 2) he
called the Corinthians the "seal" of his apostleship. The margin tells us
that an alternative reading of this word is "certification". We can liken
this type of seal to a notary seal - the Corinthians themselves were his
certification, they were his proof, they were his credentials (if you will)
that he was an apostle. It was by the fruits he produced and the things he
suffered that he gained the moral authority to be recognized as an apostle.

The conclusion of the matter for you and me is this: Those who would be servants
have no right to expect a life of privilege. They will sacrifice more and
suffer worse than those whom they serve. Indeed this is what made Christianity
attractive throughout the centuries. If one is willing to die for one's beliefs,
maybe there is something to this Jesus stuff after all!

  The Lord Of The Sabbath

God hallowed the day, and He called it blessed.

A day to remember, to worship and rest.

At the time of creation, when God made man,

One day in seven, was part of God’s plan,

That’s why God gave us the Sabbath.

The Sabbath begins at dusk Friday night.

Twenty four hours of joy and delight!

He takes our worry and He takes our care.

He is waiting to meet us in our time for prayer.

When we delight in His Sabbath.

It’s our love for the Lord and because it is good,

We honor the Sabbath the way that we should.

Walking by faith, in word and in deed,

In six days of work, He supplies all our need.

Because He’s the Lord of the Sabbath.
