More on Moore

The Court of the Judiciary removed Alabama's Chief Justice Roy Moore from
his office because he would not remove the giant block of granite engraved
with the ten commandments from the Rotunda of the judicial chambers. Moore
and supporters have indicated that he may try for a Senate position or maybe
even for the Governor's seat since he is now out of a job. The stone monument
was temporarily moved to a storage closet at the end of August by federal
order. Moore said after court, "I have absolutely no regrets. I have done
what I was sworn to do. It's about whether or not you can acknowledge God
as a source of our law and our liberty. That's all I've done."

Fairy Tale

A new reality tv program about gay dating has hit Canada. The country that
shocked the world with its approval of same-sex marriages in two of its Provinces
was just hit again by the homosexual agenda. Pride Vision, a cable channel
which features gay community programming aired "Fairy Tales" a show where
gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender participants date each other on camera.
Per the media, program-creator Myles Shane said, "When our government said
same-sex marriage is cool, our population became a bit more accepting of
a gay dating show."

Jeremiah 5:9 Shall I not visit for these things? saith
the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders
of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the
ditch.

Spanksgiving

A jury in New Haven, Connecticut found 66-yr-old "Rev." Walter Oliver innocent
of risk of injury to a minor and third-degree assault. Oliver is pastor of
the non-denominational The Bible Speaks Ministries operated from his New
Haven home. In 2000, he was given permission by a mother, Pamela Paige, to
administer discipline to her two boys (11&12) when necessary. Oliver
struck the children several times over the year and left a mark once on one
boy. The mom and her children complained and took him to court. In the two
day trial Oliver acknowledged he administered what he calls "holy spankings,"
as advised by God's law. An AP story quoted defense lawyer Norm Pattis telling
the jury: "There is no law against spanking."

Brothel-ly Love

Some folk in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, are seeking to attract
gay tourism. The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. began displaying
the advertising slogan "Get your history straight and your nightlife gay,"
in its hopes to attract its share of the $54 billion homosexual travel market.
An Ap story quoted Meryl Levitz, GPTMC president, "Gay travel is a virtually
untapped segment of the travel industry, and with the support of Philadelphia's
gay and straight community, we are proud to officially 'come out' as a
gay-friendly destination."

were arrested and sent to concentration camps. It was afterward known as
"Kristallnacht" because of the thousands of windows broken.

1215 - The Fourth Lateran Council (12th ecumenical council) was convened
by Pope Innocent III. It was the council which first defined
"transubstantiation," the invented Catholic belief that the bread and wine
of the Eucharist change invisibly into the actual physical body and blood
of Christ.

1620 - The "Mayflower Compact" was signed by the 41 Separatists among the
passengers of the "Mayflower," serving as the basis for combining themselves
"into a civil body politic" signing the Mayflower Compact (just & equal
laws). Democratic in form, the Compact comprised the first written American
constitution, and remained in force until 1691. Mayflower Compact 1620

1647 - Massachusetts passes 1st US compulsory school attendance law

1938 - German & Austrian Jews suffer 1 billion Mark damage in Nazi

Wiccan Can Pray

Self-professed pagan witch, Cyndi Simpson, has won her discrimination suit
against Chesterfield County, Virginia. Simpson filed because it was only
'Christian' prayer that was allowed to open a legislative session of the
County Board and she, being Wiccan, was barred from taking part. Wiccans
say their religion is based on respect for the earth, nature and the cycle
of the seasons. The judge ruled that the board violated Simpson's constitutional
right of equal and free expression of her religious beliefs.

Downed Clown

43 year old David Deyo, a Presbyterian Sunday school teacher, who entertained
children often in the community as "Noodles the Clown" pleaded guilty in
Jupiter, Florida to possessing child pornography. Deyo was netted by "Operation
Candyman," a federal crackdown on internet child porn. Deyo accepted a plea
to eight counts of manufacturing child porn and one count of possssing it
although charged with downloading and arranging over one hundred explicit
images of underage girls. In 1999, a woman accused Deyo of inappropriately
touching her 6-year-old daughter while he was baby-sitting,

Bush Whacked

Metropolitan Community Church revealed a letter from President Bush
congratulating the pro-homosexual MCC on its 35th anniversary during the
same week he designated as Marriage Protection Week. MCC annually performs
more than 6,000 gay 'weddings'. In the letter dated October 14, 2003, to
MCC Los Angeles, the founding congregation of Metropolitan Community Church,
one identified as President Bush wrote: "By encouraging the celebration of
faith and sharing of God's love and boundless mercy, churches like yours
put hope in people's hearts and a sense of purpose in their lives. This milestone
provides an opportunity to reflect on your years of service and to rejoice
in God's faithfulness to your congregation." The "Reverend" Neil Thomas,
senior pastor of Metropolitan Community Church of Los Angeles summed it up
best when he replied, "How does one denounce the right of gays and lesbians
to marry in their churches and suggest they are incapable of having healthy
marriages in one moment, and in the next rejoice in God's faithfulness to
a gay and lesbian congregation that performs such same-sex marriages?"

UK National Database

The British Home Secretary David Blunkett said the government would introduce
compulsory identity cards after building a national database of biometric
information using fingerprints, iris scans and facial recognition technology.
The UK Passport Service will 'test-drive' the technology on passports in
the near future and, possibly later, driver's licenses.

An AP story quoted Blunkett saying, "An ID card scheme will help tackle the
crime and serious issues facing the U.K., particularly illegal working,
immigration abuse, ID fraud, terrorism and organized crime." The story continued
with The Home Office saying "using multiple identities is one of the most
common practices of those involved in terrorist activity." Many EU countries
already have National ID cards.

0867 - Nicholas I (the Great) pope (858-67), dies

1564 - Pius IV ordered his bishops and scholars to subscribe to "Professio
Fidei," the Profession of the Tridentine Faith recently formulated at the
Council of Trent (1545-63) as the new and final definition of the Roman Catholic
faith.

1618 - In the Dutch commune of Dordrecht, the Synod of Dort convened to discuss
the Arminian controversy vexing the Reformed faith. In the end, about 200
Arminian (Remonstrant) ministers were deposed and fifteen were placed under
arrest and later expelled from the country (and one was beheaded for high
treason).

1644 - Baptists are banished from Massachussetts.

UN-Internet Control

U.N. officials told the Financial Times they expect governments to decide
how to govern the Internet by 2005. The United States and the European Commission
currently state that governmental control of the Internet would "threaten
the free flow of ideas and information." The Times article indicates that
those arguments "appear to be losing force" against new challenges like spam,
privacy and security concerns, child porn, and so-called "hate speech," which
has governments convinced the Internet needs international regulation and
enforcement.

Judeo-Christian

Last week, Catholic Patriarch Michel Sabbah of Jerusalem appointed a
Catholic-Jew, Auxiliary Bishop Jean Baptiste Gourion, to preside over
Hebrew-Israeli Catholics. Father Frederic Manns, Professor at the Franciscan
Studium Biblicum in Jerusalem stated in Italy’s "Avvenire," that the new
bishop’s consecration begins a "new phase" in Catholic-Jewish dialogue.

Catholicism Pharisees of Today

Roy Schoeman, a Catholic convert from Judaism*, did an interview with ZENIT
and revealed some glimpses of his book "Salvation is from the Jews." Schoeman
grew up in a Conservative Jewish home and studied extensively with Jewish
rabbis but after he converted to Catholicism he "realized the full significance
of Judaism as revealed in Catholic doctrine." Schoeman told the Catholic
news entity that Judaism and Christianity can only be fully understood in
relation to each other. We provide some quotes from the Zenit article here
to show his admissions on the subject.

Schoeman: "It seems obvious to me, as a Jew who has entered the Catholic
Church, that the Church is nothing else but "post Messianic" Judaism
-- that is, the continuation of Judaism after the coming of the Jewish
Messiah, now opened up to all peoples."

Schoeman: "Before my conversion I was proud of being a Jew .... my privilege
and pride in being Jewish exploded a hundredfold when, as a Catholic, I
realized the full significance of Judaism as revealed in Catholic
doctrine."

Schoeman: "My book was quite consciously written for a dual audience of both
Catholics and Jews, although I realize that the majority of readers will
probably be Catholic. To Jews, it reveals the full majesty and importance
of being Jewish, how sympathetic a view of Jews and Judaism is given in
Catholic doctrine, and that being Catholic does not mean no longer
being a Jew."

ZENIT: "What can be done to repair the relationship and clear up
misunderstandings between Jews and Christians?" Schoeman: "In the long run,
any such repair must be based on mutual respect and truth, without
a papering over of differences and without infidelity to one's own beliefs.
I hope that my book, in presenting to both Jews and Christians an extremely
positive view of Judaism, yet one set entirely within the context of Catholic
doctrine, has the potential to help in some small way."

* Judaism is NOT the "faith once
delivered" but a syncretic religious system that the captive Jews brought
out of Babylon. The scarlet, purple, and gold ornate dress of the adulterated
Priesthood of the Jews carried over to the Catholic Church along with the
pomp and ceremony for outward show. Like Catholicism, Judaism includes "oral
traditions" and is based more so on the Talmud than the Torah (first five
books of the bible) just as the Catholic faith is based in Catechisms and
writings of "church fathers" more so than the scriptures.

God Was Busy     [HUMOR]

An atheist professor was teaching a college class and he told the class that
he was going to prove that there was not a God. He said, "God if you are
real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you 15 minutes!"

Ten minutes went by "C'mon, if you are so almighty!" He kept taunting God,
saying, "Here I am God, I'm still waiting." He got down to the last couple
of minutes and a Christian, who happened to be an extremely large 300 pound
football player, happened to walk by the door and heard how the professor
taunted God.

The football player walked in the class room and in the last minute, he strolled
up, hit the professor full force, and sent him flying off the platform. The
professor struggled up, a bit dazed, and mumbled, "Where did you come from,
and why did you hit me?" The football player replied, "God was busy; He sent
me!"

Vision of Purity

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.

Spiritual truth is discernable only to a pure heart, not to a keen
intellect.

It is not a question of profundity of intellect, but of purity
of heart. ~ [Oswald Chambers]

This verse is from the portion of scriptures known as The Beatitudes. It
tells us that the "pure in heart" are blesssed.

What does it mean to be "pure in heart"? Our father Abram was advised to
be holy in Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years
old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty
God; walk before me, and be thou perfect

1 Timothy 5:22 tells us to "... keep thyself pure." The commandments lighten
our eyes to the way to be pure and holy. Psalms 19:8
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment
of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.

The commandments teach us to have holy love in our hearts.
1 Timothy 1:5 Now the
end[target]
of the commandment is
charity[love]
out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith
unfeigned:

Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his
doings, whether his work be pure, and
whether it be right.

How can we purify our hearts? 1 Peter 1:22-23 Seeing
ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another
with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible
seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth
for ever.

We become pure by obeying God out of a willing heart. 2
Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God.

We are to be perfect in holiness- as He is perfect.
Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which
after God is created in righteousness and true
holiness.

The Beatitude teaches us that such pure in heart "shall see God." What a
wonderful truth! Psalms 24:3-5 Who shall ascend into
the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?[seeing
God] He that hath clean hands, and a pure
heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn
deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and
righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Hebrew tradition uses phrases like "May His face shine upon you" to bring
one into remembrance of the hope that resides within us.
Psalms 27:4, 8 One thing have I desired of the LORD,
that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the
days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire
in his temple. ..... Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also
upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said
unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

We know that the church of the First-born shall gaze upon Him in His Glory.
We all must keep ourselves from the ways of this world and live in purity.
1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and
it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as
he is pure.

Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall
be in their foreheads.

God enables us to lead holy lives. Christ dwells in us ... in you and in
me. All things are possible to Him who believes in God. Hebrews 12:4 says
"Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against
sin."

Jesus led a holy life. He kept the commandments and now dwells with The Father.
He was a living example of how we should live if we want to see God.
John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth
them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of
my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to
him.

Love God and love all made in His image - then your heart will be pure and
we shall see Him like He is - for we shall be like Him. 1
Thessalonians 3:12-13 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love
one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the
end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before
God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with
all his saints.

We are saved by grace. Let us show thanksgiving for that gift by making our
bodies into living sacrifices - pure, holy and pleasing in His sight.
Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and
holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
