Anglican Gay Pride

The Lesbian and Gay Christian Movement (LGCM) started the "Halfway to Lambeth"
conference this week (24th-26th) in Manchester, England. The stated objective
of the Halfway to Lambeth conference is to provide an opportunity for bishops,
and others from the Anglican Communion, "to listen to the experience of
homosexual people" - as laid out in Resolution I.10 from the 1998 Lambeth
Conference - and "to make preparations to ensure that the experience of lesbian
and gay Anglicans is fully and accurately reflected at the next Lambeth
Conference in 2008". The list of speakers according to ACNS included: "the
"Rt Revd" Michael Ingham(claims the Anglican church is prejudiced of Lesbian
and Gay people), Bishop of New Westminster in Canada; the "Revd" Mario Ribas
(a gay priest) in the Episcopal Anglican Church of Brazil ; and the "Very
Revd" Rowan Smith (in the forefront of working for lesbian and gay 'equality'
in South Africa) Dean of Cape Town Cathedral in South Africa." The News Ezine
continued, "In addition, the "Revd" Canon V Gene Robinson - set to be the
first openly gay bishop in the Anglican Communion when he is consecrated
in New Hampshire on 2 November - will be taking part via a live satellite
link."

The truth of the matter is homosexuality is identified as sin in the bible
and should be shunned by any true Believer of the God of Abraham, Isaac,
and Jacob. Jesus died to forgive our sins and give us power to overcome sin
in our lives ... not to coddle it and offer to "mutually respect" unrepentant
sinners who continue in that which works death. We pray they can come to
repentance.

The Big Dipper

The New York Post reported that NY Police allege the "Rev." John Johnston
pawed $88,000 from the collection plate of a Long Island church where he
was priest for 25 years. It was reported by newspapers that when investigators
asked Johnston about the donations they said he told them, "That's my 401(k)
plan." The NY Post related that once police searched Johnston's Jackson Heights
home they found an unlicensed gun, gay porn and a large collection of Nazi
items, including helmets, daggers, medals and busts of Hitler's leaders.

Malaysian Mayhem

Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad caused a stir last week by stating
that "Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for
them.'" It was reported that US President Bush had told him at the Asia-Pacific
Economic Cooperation summit in Thailand that his comments were "divisive."
An AP report said, the leader of the primarily Muslim nation "shrugged off
criticism from President Bush and repeated his charge that Jews control the
world - adding that he's worried about Christian fundamentalists in the Bush
administration as well."

In a Bangkok Post interview, Mahathir would not recant his earlier statements
on Jews and said the negative global reaction to his statements "shows that
(Jews) do control the world." He added, "Israel is a small country. There
are not many Jews in the world. But they are so arrogant that they defy the
whole world. Even if the United Nations say no, they go ahead. Why? Because
they have the backing of all these people."

Gay Bishop-Elect Plans to Continue

The Associated Press recently interviewed the "Reverend" V. Gene Robinson,
gay bishop-elect of the Diocese of New Hampshire. Robinson revealed that
he has been praying for years about becoming a bishop. Robinson acknowledged
that his consecration would cause a severe schism amongst the 77 million
members of Anglican denominations but he claims only God can stop him from
becoming the world's first openly gay Episcopalian/Anglican bishop. He told
AP: "God and I have been about this for quite a while now and I would be
really surprised if God were to want me to stop now"

The AP interview continued with Robinson saying, "I think my election is
one of several indications that gay and lesbian folk are being brought more
into the center of things. I'd like to think that my election signals a bringing
of gay and lesbian folk into the center of the church. ,,, It's not about
me. It's about not having to be ashamed.''

Isaiah 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness
against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe
unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Or don't you know that the
unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don't be deceived. Neither
the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes,
nor homosexuals,
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers,
nor extortioners, will inherit the Kingdom of God. Such were some
of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified
in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

Romans 6:19-23 I speak after the manner of men because
of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants
to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members
servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of
sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things
whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now
being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit
unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[KJV]

Tyler, Texas) named Gustavo DeJesus Cuello, 40, plead guilty to charges of
having sex (nearly 8 yrs ago) with a 13 year old altar girl repeatedly between
June 1996 and January 1997. After being released on bond for the charges,
Cuello had skipped the country to South America but was extradicted back
to Texas from Ecuador. The ex-priest could receive life in prison for aggravated
sexual assault of a child. An AP brief said that "the victim, now 21, testified
that Cuello convinced her she was willed to him by God and told her that
her parents did not love her. "He said if I said something, he would kill
my father,'' the victim recalled."

Notable Quotes & Quotable Notes

FORGIVENESS

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath
forgiven you.

“He that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass
himself; for every man has need to be forgiven.” ~ Thomas Fuller

Psalms 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered.

Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither
will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Psalms 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to
forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

“I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will
not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in two,
and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one.” ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn
not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Matthew 18:21-22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith
unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times
seven.

2 Corinthians 2:10-11 To whom ye forgive any thing,
I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your
sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage
of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Awake, Awake

"There are many that never watch. They never watch against
sin; they never watch against the temptations of the enemy; they do
not watch against themselves, nor against “the lusts of the flesh,
the lusts of the eye, and the pride of life.” They do not watch for
opportunities to do good, they do not watch for opportunities to instruct
the ignorant, to confirm the weak, to comfort the afflicted, to succor them
that are in need; they do not watch for opportunities of glorifying
Jesus, or for times of communion [fellowship], they do not watch for
the promises; they do not watch for answers to their prayers; they
do not watch for the second coming of our Lord Jesus. These are the
refuse of the world: they watch not, because they are asleep." ~"Awake,
Awake" sermon by C.H. Spurgeon, November 15, 1857 - Text 1

1Thessalonans 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness,
that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of
light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 ¶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and
be sober.

Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord
doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in
what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would
not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also
ready
: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over
his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant,
whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you,
That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil
servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall
begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for
him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder,
and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.
