Related to O'Sullivan Beare (Bere) Clan??

I have been told by relatives that we are related to the O'Sullivan Beare Clan. If anyone has any info they can give concerning this it will be greatly appreciated! My GGGrandfather was Michael Beary (born in Oct 1824 Cork Ireland). He came to Rye, NY during the potato famine. His father was Thomas Beary (1782-1854) and his mother was Bridget Toohil. I have no info before this time.
