Looking for Relatives of Phillip Sullivan and Matilda Sullivan of Kenmare. They had 6-8 children, they lived out from Town, there was an Old General Store near their home, which still stands today, they had a 2 room home white washed with a thatched roof. From this home not far from it was a small white school house from the school house one could see the sea, this was the school house the Sullivan children had gone too.


One of the family members was a Daniel Sullivan, not sure if he was Phillips brother, cousin, or son, story around was that Daniel was killed by a falling tree as he was cutting it down.


The names of Phillips and Matildas children are not all known, My Grandmother was one of them, her name was Catherine Gertrude Sullivan she came to America in 1907,she would of been about 19 at the time, she married John Brooks in Hartford Ct. Her Sister Mary came with her, she is said to have married an O'Conner, also was another sister Nellie or Ellie, and a brother Patrick Sullivan who is said to have come to America, but had returned back to Kenmare. Catherine returned to Kenmare I believe 2 times before she past away in Hartford.
