Eoisode Guide and Synopses

If anyone lives in or close to Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphoa, or Washington, and has some time and is willing to do a little work, we could have all 116 episode synopses on the site in a few weeks.

In New York and Los Angeles, there are the Museums (museua??) of Broadcasting. Supposedly, both of them have kinescopes, films, or tapes of every show that ever aired on any network, dating back to at least 1947.

In Washington, there is the Library of Congress, which has every issue of "TV Guide," all the way back to 1952. Outside Philadelphia, in the town of Radnor, TV Guide has its headquarters, and if they don't have a copy of every issue back to "Day One," they will know where to find them.

There are also some college libraries around the country that have significant (although possibly not complete) collections of TV Guides.

Those familiar with TV Guide, know that the magazine does run short synopses of episodes of most programs. All one would need, is an episode guide, and the original air dates, and access to the TV Guides.

I'm out here in the hinterlands, well away from both state colleges, or I would have done this myself a long time ago.

So, there you are. Now, we just need someone who can do it.

Re: Eoisode Guide and Synopses

Burke,
I have all the episode synopses. I haven't put them on the site for a reason. I have been working on a book for a couple of years now. They will all be in it when it is done.

Re: Eoisode Guide and Synopses

Chicago has a major Museum of Broadcast Communications. It is currently homeless and being moved but it will be up and running again soon.
They have preserved, among other things, a large collection of rare and not rare TV shows for the public to view.
I want to check out the "Fury" collection when they re-open (and see if they have any "Nanette Fabray" shows with Bobby Diamond.
This non-profit site (no one can take material away - you must watch at the museum) would be a perfect site for the housing of all 116 episodes of "Fury", especially the shows that have commercials.
