Dear Chorus,
4 unto us a child is born! Upon leaving rehearsal tonight I discovered a message from David Rosenmeyer, saying that he and Malena are the proud parents of a son, Lev! I know we join together in rejoicing for the new Rosenmeyer family.
We did great work tonight, really honing and finessing these choruses: Since by man came death; But Thanks be to God; Their Sound is gone out.
For next week, please bring your Moravec so we can look at it together. Please look over Faure movement No.2 "O Domine Jesu Christe". We will work on Brahms Movement 3 Fugue, P. 38. Please prepare Messiah p.110, "Lift up your heads". I will send out revised Soprano divisi in the next several days. Finally, we will spot-check Messiah.
Bravo on the progress we are making as an ensemble. I am so proud of us!
