Dear Chorus,
From all reports, we got a lot of good work done Thursday night! For next week, please print out the pdf of the Honegger transliteration (IPA) and have it handy. Study it, and write it into your scores as necessary. We will use it extensively for our Honegger rehearsal. We will also set time aside for the Stravinsky. Use David's excellent tape and review the entire mass.
The handout of stands and sits for the Honegger is intended to provide information which you should write into your score. The handout should NOT be onstage with you.
Pull these things together, and we'll see you next Thursday!
Love, Kent
P.S. From Liz: The Honegger transliteration (IPA phonetics document) has been posted on the website. It's on the Rehearsal Handouts page, as is the Honegger sit/stand handout: http://www.oratoriosocietyofny.org/RehearsalHandouts.html
(There's a link to the handouts page on the Chorus News page - the icon is a stack of papers: http://www.oratoriosocietyofny.org/ChorusNews.html) |
