Dear Chorus,
Happy New Year! I'm excited to see you twice this week- on Wednesday, January 3 from 7-9:30 it is all Rossini, all the time. Wednesday's rehearsal is at Wallace Hall, the hall below the Church of St Ignatius Loyola. Enter through 980 Park Avenue, Reception entrance. The outer doors near the church steps will not be in use.
Then on Thursday it is all Honegger! Brush up, yea, work hard on your French. Let's see how far we can go! Thursday's rehearsal is at Turtle Bay, at our normal 7-9:30 period.
I'm pleased to invite you to my next recital, which is at St Ignatius on January 21 at 4 pm. This is a recital for organ and trombone, with my friend Joseph Alessi, principal trombone of the NY Philharmonic and one of the best players in the world. We're doing an exciting program spanning from the baroque era through two world premieres. Tickets are available by calling 212-288-2520, and there should be a working web link shortly.
2007 will be a great year for us!
Love, Kent |
