Bath Road Hotel
Hello. I'm interested in the Bath Road Hotel, on the Bath Road. The info on this web site states 162 Bath Road on the corner of Park St, but that is [now] 142, and the 1901 Census states 147 Bath Road for the landlady. Am I right in thinking that the hotel was at 162, which still exists but is now 142, and Christina Bray lived at 147 rather than in the hotel? According to this site, the hotel existed in 1975 and was known as the Three Lamps. Was this where the junction got it's name or was it the other way around? Many thanks, Alan |

Also, the 1902 Kelly's Directory of Bristol states "Bath Road Hotel, Mrs Christina Bray, 147 Bath Road". |

Just had a look, and the building is indeed now 162. |
