Cross Hands Inn and Telegraph Hotel
Do you have the source references for the information on the Cross Hands Inn and/or the Telegraph Hotel ? I'm related to a couple of the people you mention running them and would love to find out more! |

Sarah, The information on these two pubs can be found in Mathews' and Wright's Bristol Directories, and from about 1930 onwards Kelly's Directories. Bristol Central Library on College Green has a large selection of these books, but for more detailed information you will need to look at license applications, these can be found at the Bristol Record Office down on Cumberland Basin, they date from around 1870.
