RORY GALLAGHER UNFORGOTTEN!!

He recorded with Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. Bob Dylan and John Lennon were among Rory Gallagher's legion of fans. The so-called "Irish Eric Clapton" sold over 20 million albums during his lifetime, sadly cut short ten years ago. He roared out of Ireland to London in the late 60's, where he proceeded to make blues history, putting his country on the R&B map and throwing open a door to the Irish artists who followed, such as U2 and the Boomtown Rats.
It's been said that Rory Gallagher never got his rightful due. But there are fans out there who want to remedy that. For us -- indie filmmakers who have spent the last several years working on a documentary about Rory's life, wrapped around a tribute concert at New York's famed Bottom Line -- what was most captivating about Rory was his humanity and humility. He had no use for the trappings of a rock star. For him it was all about the music.
His fierce spirit inspired us and kept us going when it seemed impossible to go on. The result is a true labor of love, "SONGS & STORIES: New York Remembers Rory Gallagher." If you'd like to learn more about one of our heroes, or to read some reviews of our film, visit our website at www.hometeamproductions.tv
Check out a trailer via Google video or Film Baby.com. Feedback is welcome, Rory fans old or new! And if anyone has already seen the film, let us know your thoughts on it!
Thanks,
Vic and Stef
