Re: GOOD MORNING AND HELLO PETER & TO YOU ALL:)

Thank you for your good wishes Maria. Can I extend my empathy to you for the problems which have recently befallen the Nazareth House Scotland group case which we have read all about. We are concerned about the result and the judgment which understandably has upset a lot of people. The government however seem concerned and supportive.
Best of luck.

Re: GOOD MORNING AND HELLO PETER & TO YOU ALL:)

Good Morning Peter & ALL

Thank you very much for your message of empathy and yes a bitter blow to many of us this ruling has been that was handed down just makes one wonder will we ever see any justice for us former children from Nazareth House Yes I have signed your time limit campaigne both here and from the INCAS website also of which I am a member of thank you and I wish you every Good Luck for the success of that along with my very Good Wishes to you and thank for for the campaing as in my opinion to me personally there should never be a time limit on child abuse I say this because so many people dismiss a child abuse survivor out of hand because it has taken them so ling to step forward to reveal there horro of child abuse it took me forty five years before I was able to confront my child abuse and speak out that is how long it took me IN my opinion it should make no difference how long ago a person takes to come forward to reveal their child abuse ans when that child abuse happened be it today yesterday last week last month last year or how many years the fact remains IT DID HAPPEN so we should not be dismissed out of hand just like that and at the end of the day we all need to heal and need some kind of closure to our abuse anyway soz for my going on a b it here but just though I would let you know what I thought and hope that is OK with you all Again my sincere thanks for your message of empathy at this time and hope everyone is well and wish you all a good day
Take Good Care and keep up your very good work and thank you for all you do for us all survivors of child abuse much appreciated

With Love
Maria

Re: GOOD MORNING AND HELLO PETER & TO YOU ALL:)

I notice that Cameron Fife is intending to appeal the judgment. I hope you will get backing from Public Funds. Our experience is that support is not forthcoming enough. I know how much trouble Cameron Fife had in Glasgow in the first place. My view is that it is worth spending money getting access to justice and that if it costs money it is small beans when compared with what damage the state has already done to abuse victims by the neglect of the care system.
In Canada there is no time limit for cases of sexual abuse. Mind you a lot of their law is way ahead of us in terms of its open attitude to many issues. We sought the best decision in the House of Lords in Lister v Hesley Hall Limited in which I was involved because of 2 marvellous Canadian Cases called Bazley v Curry and Jacobi v Griffiths. Go on the Canadian Supreme Court site and find them. They are inspiring and will give you hope. They were highly praised by the House of Lords and are great to read. Well have a go - I think there is a link to the site on the ACAL links page.
Sorry to rabbit. I know you are not a lawyer, and my interests are legal as well as moral.
Anyway all the best to you. You are in our thoughts and deserve a fair hearing. I hope you get one.

HELLO PETER & TO YOU ALL:)

HELLO PETER & TO YOU ALL
I trust you are all well and having a good day
Sorry I have not visited for a while but have been unwell yes as far as I am aware the appeal is going ahead thankfully but do not know if Cameron Fyfe has had backing from Public funds or not for this one Peter I sure hope so I do agree with your view here it is certainly worth spending money getting access to justice I agree 100% with you here on this and yes quite it is small beans when comparing it with what the state has done to abuse victims out here and we are continually ignored and our voices failing to be heard from the powers that be both politically and the religious powers that be as that is where my experience lies so can only speak from that experience not even an apology to the many of us from Naz House across the world it is totally unacceptable in my opinion and I will not give up trying for acknowledgement to our abuse and both a personal and public apology to me and all former children from Naz House they have to be made accountable and take responsibility for their henios actions against us when we were vulnerable children placed into their "care" what an unfortunate word this is far from what we had I can assure you all . Thank you Peter for this information regarding 2 marvellous Canadian Cases called Bazley v Curry and Jacobi v Griffiths and I will come back to you if you do not mind if I cannot find the link as I would love to read this and give me hope and thanks you again for your much valued hard work on abused survivors behalf you are a star in my opinion .Thank you ever so much for your best wishes to us all and yes we do deserve a fair hearing I agree with you but am afraid I am very skeptical of justice ever being done for the many of us out here as to me is seems so geared in favour to the abusers and unfavourable to the abused survivors who have the guts courage and determination to go into those courtrooms I so do admire them all for their sheer bravery and they are all mighty stars in my opinion as it is never ever an easy thing to do I suspect . again Peter much appreciated and to you all here for your support to us all take good care and stay safe
With Love
