Any word on ES Prophesy in June "Smallville" mag?
Heyyah, Shirkie (and followers)! The June issue of Smallville Magazine is due out this week. I've read it will be the "Yearbook" edition (AKA expensive re-hash). Has anyone heard: will there be a new Ezra Small Prophesy in the June Issue or will we have to wait for July? |

Hey! Well, I was told that we would have lots of Prophecies this summer in the "Smallville Magazines," so I'm ASSUMING there will be one in June's issue. If there's not, I might riot. No new episodes, no new Prophecies... Eeek!! |

HeLLOOOO? (~low~low~low~low~) Is there any body OUT there? (~there~there~there~there~) I posted a thread on Kryptonsite about the Christopher James Beppo article in the June Smallville Magazine 2005 Yearbook. Not a lot there Ezra-Small-ish but somewhat interesting approach to the history of the town of Samllville: http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1188696#post1188696 |

I saw that article. Thought it was pretty interesting, but, as you said, not much to do with Ezra Small. The magazine itself was pretty cool too. I'm just waiting for the July issue of "Smallville: The Official Magazine," which should be out this coming week. I assume so, anyways, since this will be the third full week of June... Anticipation! |

Craig at K-Site said there's a new prophecy in the new SV Magazine. I haven't got my hands on it yet, so I haven't seen it. Has anyone else checked it out yet? |

Why does everyone want new stuff? Well, just cause we're apparently not smart enough to figure out the stuff that's still missing doesn't mean we can't be greedy enough to demand more! I read that about the new Prophecy too. I didn't expect the magazine to be out until mid-August (don't they usually come out the 15th or so?), so I obviously don't have it yet. Wonder if the crappy store near my house has it yet. Considering I asked them to put my name on the list of people who want them to hold a copy for them, they sure don't seem to be catering to me! Heh. Ah well. Nothing like a good delusion of grandeur every now and then...

Ezra Small Sez the JUSTICE LEAGUE WILL JOIN FORCES in Smallville http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=39879 Post #1 of 1 Originally part of the "Ezra Small Prophesies thread at: http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/s...;threadid=39808 Issue 10 of Smallville Magazine has a new Ezra Small Prophesy. Thanks to EDGE740 for posting the lines from the magazine. Generally Ezra Small Prophesies have 2-3 lines for one spoiler then shift to a new spoiler in the next 2-3 lines. Throwing caution to the wind I'm going to propose an overall theme to the entire passage. Since the overall analysis works so well, I posted it in this new thread to get more feedback and hopefully more ideas from the people that don't care about Ezra Small prophesies but WOULD care about Justice League spoilers. The Ezra Small lines: Come, weigh me the weight of fire or measure me the measure of the wind or recall me the day that is past When the House of Kanya exalts him He will wake as from a profound sleep. Nebo will protect our realm She who is above Will bring the ways of eternity To the twilight of the morning. Like immortal Enki, He will rise from the depths As foretold by the priests of Sais First among us They shall be joined By the last of his tribe. For though thunder over the distant hills Still gives but a murmuring sound, The tempest is spreading. They will be ready. |

"Come, weigh me the weight of fire or measure me the measure of the wind or recall me the day that is past" These first three lines are from the Fourth Chapter, Verse 3 of the apocraphal book: "The Book of the Prophesy of Esdras", a book that was included in the Vulgate but afterwards rarely considered to be part of the Canon of the Bible. Come, weigh me the weight of fire = Meteor Shower or measure me the measure of the wind "Wind" (Air) = Tempest (see below) "recall me the day that is past" = ZOD being recalled from the past (???) quote:Originally posted by EDGE 740 http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/s...000#post1347000 Well, fire and wind are two of the elements, The black "Transference" stone element should have been "Water" but the surface of the stone was scratched and abraded around the symbol. It looked like the symbol had been changed at some point. We know from the "Aethyr tattoo" spoilers that the double tilde symbol is associated with "Zod". since the first two phrases refer to specific stones, I think the third phrase: "recall me the day that is past" DOES refer to the symbol on the third stone and may be associating the symbol for "Zod" to some process of "recalling from the past". This might resolve the problem many people have brought up about having a contemporary reference to "Zod" on stones that were buried centuries ago. When the House of Kanya exalts him = ("Kanya", the 6th "House" in Vedic Astrology is equivalent to the house of "Virgo" (the Virgin) in western astrology. The "House of VIRGINS" suggests Paradise Island, home of the (DC Comics') Amazons and home of Diana, daughter of Hippolyta (WONDER WOMAN ). You might remember the newspaper headline: "THEMISCYRAN QUEEN (VISITS VA)TICAN" seen in the season 3 episode "Asylum". http://www.smallville5.com/ThemisQueen.jpg The land of the Amazons is "Themiscyra" - see: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/14566b.htm (THEMIS in Greek Mythology was The goddess of law and order; the patroness of existing rights. CYRA is a feminine form of CYRUS, from (Kyros), the Greek form of the Persian name Kûrush, which may mean "far sighted" or may be related to the Persian word khur "sun". The name is sometimes associated with Greek (kyrios) "lord". ) BTW, Diana met Aquaman on Paradise island when she was a teenager. He will wake as from a profound sleep. At first I thought "Him/He" = ZOD (or some unnamed ancient villian coming out of a "Profound Sleep"). Since I figured out the "house of Virgins = Paradise Island, I think the one who wakes from a profound sleep is probably a greek (or babylonian) god. Nebo will protect our realm (Nebo) = Bart Allen (THE FLASH ) "Nebo" was a Babylonian deity who presided over learning and letters; corresponding to Egyptian Thoth, Greek Hermes, and Latin Mercury So who do we know that sometimes dresses like MERCURY? See: http://www.varchive.org/itb/merkur.htm http://www.varchive.org/ce/mercrel.htm She who is above Will bring the ways of eternity To the twilight of the morning. = Sheira Sanders (HAWKGIRL ) (Sheira will hopefully not be related to "Buffy" Sanders. Gag, gag, GAG me with a spoon!) The Ezra Small lines quote Passage 148 from the Coffin Texts describing Horus (Thanks MadCoder, for pointing this out!) http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/s...327#post1347327 See: http://www.netconstructions.com/horus/ I am Horus, the great Falcon upon the ramparts of the house of him of the hidden name. My flight has reached the horizon. I have passed by the gods of Nut. I have gone further than the gods of old. Even the most ancient bird could not equal my very first flight. I have removed my place beyond the powers of Set, the foe of my father Osiris. No other god could do what I have done. I have brought the ways of eternity to the twilight of the morning. I am unique in my flight. My wrath will be turned against the enemy of my father Osiris and I will put him beneath my feet in my name of 'Red Cloak'. Horus is known as "He who is above" and "God of the Air and Sky". Set is the enemy of Osiris and Hawk-Headed Horus was Osiris's Champion. See: http://www.touregypt.net/godsofegypt/legendofosiris.htm The the "fire" element was found in a statue of Horus, the hawk-headed god in "Crusade". Hmmm... hawk-headed and "she who is above". Could it be that clark will meet Shiera Sanders (nee Hall) as a professor at college? Could Carter Hall and his nemisis, "Hath-Set" be far behind? |

Like immortal Enki, He will rise from the depths As foretold by the priests of Sais = Arthur Curry (AQUAMAN ) quote:Originally posted by phoephoe http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/s...032#post1347032 House of Kanya is house of Virgo I got that much. and that the priests of sais are the ones that told Plato of Atlantis. quote:Originally posted by madCoder http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/s...327#post1347327 In response to phoephoe, the priests of Sais didn't directly tell Plato of Atlantis: Enki is defined by dictionary.com as "The Mesopotamian god of waters and primeval establisher of law and order.", and by wordreference.com as "water god and god of wisdom; counterpart of the Akkadian Ea" First among us = Clark Kent (SUPERMAN ) The "first", the leader and the most powerful among us, uh, them. ("First among us" could also refer to John Jones/J'onn Jo'nzz. In the DC Silver Age chronology, The Martian Manhunter in the guise of John Jones PI, appeared before Superman, Wonder Woman The Flash or HawkGirl) They shall be joined (See note about who "They" are, below) By the last of his tribe. = J'onn Jo'nzz (THE MARTIAN MANHUNTER) (The last of the Green Martians) (Perhaps appearing as John Jones, a Police Detective, later a Private Detective, or Joshua Johnstone, a farm worker who worked on the Kent Farm MM#31 or Ms. Klingman, a school teacher, who taught Clark Kent's civics class, MM #20 or Yuchiro Takata of New Concept Industries, or Isobel De La Rosa, or Marko Xavier, or cab driver Johann Johansen, or a homeless brazilian kid named Paolo, or Tomasso a stray cat, or even Jor-El. For though thunder over the distant hills = (probably) meteor shower again. (Though it would be a LOT of fun if it was about Johnny Thunder or Billy Batson (Captain Marvel)) Still gives but a murmuring sound, = (possibly) about the way the writers reduce the rebuilding of Smallville after the meteors (and Nam-Ek and Aethyr and a hundred episodes of FOTWs) to a "murmuring sound". Any thoughts, anyone? The tempest is spreading. = Growing danger by end of season (as suggested by MadCoder.) The danger either has already been introduced or will be introduced early in the season. (Probably) the danger is the meteor shower bringing ship with followers of Zod) They will be ready. (They) = THE JUSTICE "Club or LEAGUE or something" Since the Ezra Small prophesies above list most of the founding members of the Justice League, I would assume "They" is refering to them. (Of course, we've been waiting for Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) to show up since seeing the newspaper headline in the "Pilot" teaser: http://www.smallville5.com/QueenCEOMissing.jpg What surprises me is I couldn't find any way to apply ANY of the Ezra Small lines specifically to "Brainiac". Can you? BTW, As far as I know all the "old Stuff" has been picked over pretty thoroughly. What was the previous poster refering to? |

Eh,Man?You-El? : There are still quite a few Beppo things that have gone unsolved; that is to say, not yet complete. But, no matter. You have new stuff now from Beppo by popular demand. The whole snowflake mystery is still out there too. How about that mystery you were working on last spring from the Torch? You did all that research and posted on k-site this long thread Then you left it at that. Is that all there is? You have some great theories. Shirkie seems to know what some of the names mean too. She also stopped at that. There are thousands of fans who hold the key to this one and don't even realize it. They don't even know its value. You just need to put the pieces together now. What is it that they say? "When you can't find something, it's usually right in front of your nose." BTW - For detailed discussion and pictures on the elements, see the Fortress of Solitude page at Richsworld. They are Water, Fire, and Air. The water symbol was Lana's tattoo. It's on the stone that had the power to transfer souls. It was used by Lionel to switch bodies with Clark. Isobel's spell book has it on many pages and she used it to bring herself back to life in Lana's body.

Ritch (and anyone else), This isn't specific to ES Prophesies, but what do you make of the scratching around the double Tilde symbol on the black water stone? It looks to me like the prop department was given specific instructions to produce an artifact that looked "altered". The "Air" stone was the Kryptonian font character for "S" (House of EL/Superman Shield) and the Fire stone had the Kryptonian font character for "F" (as yet unnamed family affiliation) but the Water stone does NOT have a Kryptonian font character for "W" on it. My suspicion is that, whether it ever makes it into a show or not, the original plotline for the Water stone was that some force (probably Zod) altered the symbol, changing it into something other than it was designed to be. I think that plotline was forgotten and it was not as easy to change a three dimensional prop as it was to change the 2-D Chinese Map, so they left the stone as is. Hey, it's sort of fun that people are actually dialoging on the site. YAAAAY, SHIRKIE! |

Oh, and thanks for remembering my Torch Rant. Actually, I left that one as is. It seemed pretty obvious what was meant was there were dozens of shout-outs to all the people who had sent letters and contributions to the Torch during the four year run. I'm afraid the Smallville High Journalism department has come to a complete end and CJB (whatever his name is wanted to commemorate the fans in that final issue (good man that CJB!) It would be interesting if TPTB decided to set up a new site for Chloe's column in the Daily Planet or the Met U Newspaper. To be honest, the latest ES prophesy in Smallville Mag sounded "tired" to me, like he was trying to get it all out of the way in one quick lump. I have a gut-feeling that CJB is a bit burned out and perhaps a bit disappointed with the directions of season five. I'm hoping for more prophesies. They do add spice to the whole Smallville experience but I wouldn't be surprised if we were waiting a LOOOOOONNNNGGGG time between prophesies from this point forward. |

Artifact that looked "altered"? Here's my thoughts: 1. The black stone is Black Kryptonite. I'm told different colors of Kryptonite affect people and/or Clark differently. We all know what RED does. 2. It was used in Crusade by Martha (given to her by Dr. Crosby) to get Kal-El and Clark to separate. 3. It was used in Transference by Lionel to switch bodies with Clark. 4. Isobel used its power to transfer her spirit into Lana. 5. Clark draws the symbol and it's seen in Isobel's spell book, and it's on Lana's Tattoo, NOT as two tildes with circles around them, but rather, continuous wavy lines that connect with the loops. So, did the prop dept. get it wrong? Could have??? Remember how the brain (pad) to the spaceship looked in the pilot and first season as Clark holds it? Then it became a clear thing in season two. They weren't constant with that. And, it wouldn't be the first goof up/blooper that ever came out of the show. Hey, they aren't perfect. And look at the octagonal disk. One of the three things on that says “barcode” As far as your Zod theory goes, well, I know many people who think the same thing. Just because Terrance Stamp played Zod in the movie and now does the voice of Jor-El on the show, does that mean Zod has his hands in this???? Hey, people kept saying that Adam Knight was Batman. But, lest you think you are alone in your theory, you may want to contact JPMiller, who writes for my site. She has that same theory; that it is not actually Jor-El in that cave, but ZOD who is leading/controlling Clark all these seasons. And I've been hearing that from her since day one. 'Ritch' |

Oh, I don't deny that what was meant was the shout-outs to all the people who had sent letters and contributions. But, that wasn't the Torch, it was The Ledger that had the Letters to the Editor. And the exact words were: "Try your best to decipher some of the aliases used." I took that to mean "Figure out who they really are." The writers that is. The Torch was Chloe. The Ledger was CJB, AP, JM, KR, GT, etc... As far as what the future holds, we'll see. But what you said about Smallville Mag sounded "tired", I agree with your gut feeling that CJB is a bit burned out. The fans won't let go, but the exact words were: "Many who have cut their teeth here have already gone on to much, much more prodigious endeavors." They've moved on. Will we? And it says "much more prodigious endeavors." So I don't think The Torch and Ledger are as high on those "To Do" lists anymore. 'Ritch' |

just discovered that the name Nebuchadnezzar In the Babylonian orthography Nabu-kudur-uzur, means "Nebo, protect the crown!" OR "Nebo will protect our realm" In the Biblical book of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar had one "Sleep" related incidents: Da 2:1 And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from him. And the incidents of Daniel Chapter 4 deal with Nebuchadnezzar exalting himself, losing his mind and regaining it seven years later: Daniel 4:28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. 29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. 30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? 31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. 34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: |

See my post: http://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=1379119#post1379119 The name Nebuchadnezzar in the Babylonian orthography Nabu-kudur-uzur, means "Nebo, protect the crown!" OR "Nebo will protect our realm" On a Vedic Astrology Site, I found some interesting stuff about the Moon Sign "Rashi Kanya": http://www.shastriji.com/rashi/rashi6.htm This sign is owned by Mercury. This is an earthly sign. ... Professions indicated by this Kanya :People born in this sign or people having this sign in their 10 th house work as teachers, lecturers, writers, interpreters, mathematicians, couriers, reporters accountants, agents etc. The "House of Kanya" could be a "House of Teachers/Lecturers" "Exalting Him" could be a promotion in, say, a Kansas State College. (The fact that "Kanya" looks sort of like "Kansas" is just the kind of multi-valent meanings CJB favors.) He will wake as from a profound sleep. "Nebo will protect our realm" These two lines may be a "Matrix" reference. (NOTE: another Matrix ref was in "hidden prophesy 5") http://www.ezrasmall.com/hidden5.htm The "Nebuchadnezzar" was the "Ship" of "Morpheus" in "The Matrix" "Morpheus" was the Greek god of "Dreams" which can be considered a "profound sleep". More interestingly than that, the name "Morpheus" comes from the same root as the word we commonly mis-use: "MORPH". The spoilers say Brainiac is related to the "Ship" and will "Morph". See: http://www.kryptonsite.com/smallvillespoilers.htm It's important to note that "The Matrix" was, of course, a movie a bout a world where machines had taken control of EVERYTHING. SO, When the House of Kanya exalts him He will wake as from a profound sleep. "Nebo will protect our realm" may mean: When the house of "Teachers" "honors or promotes" him (Milton Fine) He (Brainiac) will wake as from a "Metamorphosis" (of "his" Ship) (The) "Nebuchadnezzar" Still, I can't quite see how Kansas State "exalting" anyone would cause them to "wake" unless somehow historian "Milton Fine" is given a prestigious new assignment which puts him in contact with the Brainiac entity. The introduction in Smallville Mag#10 indicated the entire prophesy should be read as a series. If the Kanya/Nebo passages really are about Brainiac, I'm at a loss about what the overall series is about. ______________________ Also, Shirkie, I have some thoughts on some of the old ES Prophesies. http://www.ezrasmall.com/prophecy20.htm Prophecy 20 From Dagda's bottomless cauldron Rises a truth forged in the endless fire: The one who exalts herself shall fall. [/I] I think this triplet describes Genevieve Teague See: http://www.pantheon.org/articles/b/brigid.html Brigid-or Breo Saighead, or the "Fiery Arrow or Power," is a Celtic three-fold goddess, the daughter of The Dagda, and the wife of Bres. Known by many names, Brighid's three aspects are (1) Fire of Inspiration as patroness of poetry, (2) Fire of the Hearth, as patroness of healing and fertility, and (3) Fire of the Forge, as patroness of smithcraft and martial arts. Brigid, which means "one who exaults herself," is Goddess of the Sacred Flame of Kildare often is considered to be the White Maiden aspect of the Triple Goddess. Genevieve (the “White Maiden”) exalted herself and fell. Her mind races, But her heart stays still. Her flesh betrays her. [/I] This may be referring to Lana hovering over Genevieve’s dead body. The “mind” of Isobel “racing” away. Lana’s heart “staying still” on earth Isobel “betrayed” by Lana’s “flesh”. http://www.ezrasmall.com/hidden2.htm Prophecy Hidden 2 With St. George flowing around him, He vanquishes the golden hordes The power within awaits unleashing.[/i] “St. George flowing around him" refers to the actual source of the |

It was one of the four Mongol successor kingdoms in the wake of the Mongol Empire, the others being the Ilkhanate Dynasty of Persia, the Chagatai Khanate in Central Asia, and the Yuan Dynasty of China.… In 1357, the Khan Jani Beg was assassinated and the empire fell into a long civil war, averaging one new Khan per annum for the next few decades. During this time Dmitri Donskoi of Moscow attempted to break free of the Horde's power. Mamai, the Tatar general who did not formally hold the throne, attempted to reassert Tatar authority over Ruthenia. His army was defeated by Dmitri at the Battle of Kulikovo[/B] in the second Ruthenian victory over the Tatars. Mamai soon fell from power, and in 1378, Tokhtamysh, a descendant of Orda Khan and ruler of the White Horde, invaded and annexed the territory of the Blue Horde, establishing the Golden Horde. He sacked Moscow as punishment for its insubordination in 1382.
