Message:   Hello to all of you who have found your way here. Recently, I have just discovered that my unfinished dissertation is being listed in the top 20 hits for msn.com's search on "Paris Arcades." I'm not sure how that happened, but because people outside of my doctoral committee have started visiting, and because those people are more than likely interested in the subject matter, I thought it would be a good idea to create a space where conversation could take place.

All that I ask is that you overlook the disarray. This is a project that has been several years in the making and there are many loose ends, old essays, unfinished pages, typos and cul de sacs throughout. I'm not sure if a project like this can ever be "completed" but I hoped to have things much more polished before going public, and. . . well. . . as the medium itself is condusive to accidental exhibitionism, I suppose that this is how it will be.
