I could make a plain one but what's the point in that? Why pay me top dollar for something that can be found at Target? The way I see it is keep it custom keep it fun.

O.K. Here's a few pics of my new project before and after. I've only had the bike for a month so it's a good change for such a short time but by no means the final product. The paint's just a rattle can job and a quick one at that but it'll do for now until I figure what I want to really do with the bike. For now I've just done the bare basics to give it a Cafe Racer look. The seats profile was lowered but outside of that I just recovered it with my work. I kept the art simple because the bikes simple. The jacket is something I got off Amazon and I just wanted to have fun with my logo. It's an O.K. jacket till I make myself one someday. LOL! I added a cheezy shot of me and the bike and one of my latest wallets that sold like lightening on Ebay today. Yeah me...All feedback is welcomed...Ron

mrwilmoth,
You know what's really Awesome ...I see you started this post about how great Ron's - One Too Many items you scored were and then I now notice on Ebay that you purchased the Half skull pendant pictured in your first post from Alan from Australia for $150 (EBAY Item number: 260267757186)...and now you have it for a buy it now (EBAY Item number: 270265871408) of $275 or best offer..... Also, when Alan was selling it for a buy it now of $200 you wouldn't pay that price and only offered him $150 which he accepted... And don't say you had another as they are both #6 ...In addition, I noticed you also have 3 other One Too Many items listed on Ebay as well..... I guess awesome to you means get a deal on Ebay which is awesome and then make it more awesome by selling it a few weeks later for a lot more... AWESOME !!! .....
By the way just an observation on my part.... as I always notice a lot of items on Ebay that are purchased and then a few weeks later being sold again..... AWESOME !!!

Re: one too many
I can sorta understand if people have to sell stuff...Unfortunately, the unexpected sometimes happens and ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get through it...
Case in point, I got a leather binder and belt from Ron a couple years back...Obviously, great stuff and I loved the pieces (still miss 'em to this day as a matter of fact!) Unfortunately, a friend of mine had a bike wreck and had shitty insurance which left him with $1000's of dollars in medical bills...So, I decided the right thing to do at the time was sell some of my stuff to help out his financial situation...I sold the two pieces I mentioned above, along with a few of my BWL items to do what I could to help him and his family out in their time of need...It is what it is, I guess...
If the same sort of thing happened again, I would do it just like I did the first time...
On the other side of things; to try and convince someone to cut you a deal on pieces and your only motive is to resell them for a profit is pretty shady, if ya ask me...People do stupid things though!
End of rant! hahaha!

Re: one too many
JORDAN, I hear where you are coming from...however, he stated that he wanted to do the following: "They are awesome. but had to sell them to buy something else from him" ... If he wanted to do that then if he would never have purchased the items in the first place he would have had the money he needed to get the item he stated he really wanted from Ron in the first place....
Here is another case in point... There recently was a DORADO RING (fish ring)by Bwl up for sale on EBAY.... I really wanted that ring... However someone beat me in the auction.... Then like a week later he was reselling the ring on Ebay again for a little more then he won it for.... I asked him why?.... He stated it wasn't him... Like what the F&*% was he thinking then when he bid on it.... I mean either you know you want it or not... I mean if the guy is more into skulls, etc. then why the hell bid on something like a fish when they are at opposite spectrums..... The thing that pissed me off though is if this guy hadn't of bid then I would have gotten it really cheap... That's my problem though as that is the nature of the auction... You win or lose based on your bid... Long story short...The ring didn't sell... I was glad to see it didn't and hope the guy has to eat it now.... Serves people right that bid when an item is going off low and then trying to resell it later for a lot more.....
If you are bidding on any item by MIKEL ROB or TONY CREED directly you'd be a damn fool thinking you can resell it for more money later because if the actual guys that sell the items are either the maker or someone representing the maker then you are just a plain fool....
Anyway, that is my rant and now I am done... And I do believe mrwilmoth as to what he stated but next time I believe he will think before doing what he did this time around... Sometimes I see a lot of things I want...but I restrain myself and then think if I truely need or want that item or to save for something else I truely want in the first place......

Ok, we're getting a little too serious here! haha...
Anyway, I was cleaning out my wallet today and thought that I'd snap a pic or two of it...Ron made this for me probably close to two years ago? I carry it on a daily basis and it still looks almost brand new...The leather is breaking in nicely and is developing a pretty nice wear pattern...
The whole "Hold-Fast" thing is because I raise English bulldogs and "Hold-Fast" was their motto back in the bull baiting days...Most people assume I'm in the Navy or something with that on the wallet! haha...
Anyway, just thought I'd share!

Re: one too many
As much as I enjoy collecting and have been doing so for years (and may have to sell a few items due to recent financial difficulties), I see no problem in buying something on ebay just to resell it - it happens in the real world all the time. That being said,to buy a ring & pendant and then go to all the steps in posting your praise on this "fan" forum to ONE TOO MANY and then turning around in a couple of days and relisting it is a bit phony. Not that I agree with Don but the post and quick sale was uncool.

Re: one too many
HERE IS MORE BS TO FEED THE FLAMES.....
GUESS WHO JUST POSTED THIS ON EBAY AFTER STATING THE FOLLOWING: "they are awesome. but had to sell them to buy something else from him (wanted a el hefe and bracelet combo." (You should have kept the el hefe ring as that was a one of a kind since Ron only makes el Jefe rings....lol)
ONE TOO MANY Stoned El Jefe Brass Skull Ring. This is hand carved special super 8 Item number: 270265876700
ring just carved on 08/08/08. The eye of the skull has a 8mm sapphire birthstone in it.
the ring is a size 12 and weighs 65 grams.
Jesus, it was just made a week ago.... He must have received it and immediately posted it for sale.... I suggest you seek medical attention in the form of psychiatric help.....
Ok, I think we all got the point now... I agree if it is an emergency situation and you need the funds then by all means do whatever you need to do to take care of business... But this just seems bizzare to me... Especially since he stated the only reason he wanted to sell was to buy the El Jefe combo ring and bracelet and here he had the ring....
I know another person that is loaded and he always buys items, hardly ever wears them and then resells on Ebay for practically nothing... For example he purchased a King Baby stingray bracelet for near $1000 direct from King Baby ...wore it maybe once and then will try to resell it on Ebay for $300.... In fact, he even asked me if I wanted it and could pay him in 3 installmenst whenever I got the money together....I mean he is a great guy and very generous but for the life of me I have no idea why he does this... Glad he does as I get some real bargains from him when he does... But why buy in the first place if you have no intention of ever wearing it just to take a huge loss later on... Must be nice to have that kind of dough.... To each his own I guess....

ok here's the deal. I should not of used ron's pictures on my auctions, nor his descriptions, and I apologize for it. as for selling the half cocked. it is a little to big. I recently lost 100lbs and my finger has shrunk from what it used to be. as for selling the el jefe, I bought it with intentions of getting a brass bracelet to match, but since ron will long deal with me, I am selling that. anyone interested on here, I will sell any of these on what I paid for them. starting with slava who wants the half cocked. best regards!

Re: one too many
The point of the whole matter was that I and no one else has any problem with the buying and the reselling...The point is the lying about it all and coming up with stories that just don't make any sense.... That is all...If the guy wouldn't have stated that Ron's work was so awesome and how grateful he was to get it and the rest of the bullshit then it would have been all OK...
That being said I know that it was stated to me by one of the Silver Makers that frequents this site who knew people that talked that shit about how it would mean so much to them if he would sell him so and so and when he did they turned around and sold it on Ebay..... after giving a hard luck story about how they couldn't afford the regular price but if they could go lower then they would be forever grateful.... And like I said when they were given the discount they screwed the Silver Maker over... I believe that some of you aren't that naive to think that everyone pays the exact price stated on some Silver Makers websites.... They give discounts to clients all the time... So that is what I am talking about.... People who are getting a great deal claiming one thing but in actuality have other motives behind it....
I may be controversial at times with what I write but at least I speak my mind.. some of you half wits never post and when you do the one time it's always some stupid shit that a 1st grader could write.... At least when I place something on here it starts talk and opinions... and to me what the hell is the point of having this forum if no one ever says anything that may be controversial.... I come here often and basically if it weren't for maybe three or four of the same people that post it would be dead....
So if some of you assholes that can't read and understand what this was all about then I just spoon fed it to your sorry asses.....
By the way, Ron and AC none of this was meant about you.....You 2 always post on this site.... and what you post is great !!!!!

Re: one too many
I too am a collector and noticed the "one too many" #8 ring that Ron was originally selling through ebay which sold for just under $400 but over $350 (it was on my watch list). I think it's great that these artists have access to a system which gets their work out to the public and as collectors, we can sometimes get a good deal (thank you Ron, TC, BWL, etc.)...The ring in question is still listed with a buy now price of $650 or make offer. Several of the other auctions are now gone that had these items for sale at retail prices (checked Ron's web site). WTF? BLSH (buy low and sell high) is not what collecting this stuff is all about and we should question the action of individuals trying to make a profit when the profit should have gone to the artist. I am with you Don - rock on bro!!
PS. Ron's stuff is the tits (we love them)...I'd much rather buy directly from him then from someone trying to flip his stuff for a profit!!!Peace out...
