Hi, just the other day I come across a lovebird that a crow had dropped in my yard, The bird has the most beautiful colour and I would like to know what kind of lovebird it is, It has a white face and chest with black on top of its head(like a hat) and the rest of its body is all Blue? Also it would be great to know how old this bird is? It comes to the side of the cage to talk to me but wont me put my hand near it, how can i get it use to me?

Hi Jacqui,
Not to sure about that one but if you can send a picture of it to the above email address I'll have a go. If the bird has not had to much contact with humans then you'll find it hard to get close, that's not to say you can't train the little thing. Just start of by putting your hand in the cage and leaving it there for a while, this way your little bird will get use to it and you can move forward from there. It's a long process Jacqui but a very rewarding one, goodluck
