Dark Hollow Band Bass
We went to listen to Dark Hollow with guest band Courtney Hollow this past Sat. night at the Madison High School.The band stiil sounds good with the exception of the electric bass. It tends to feedback at times warbling the sounds of the other instruments.As my husband said,"It sounds like someone is rattling a piece of tin". We still enjoy the boys,especially Rodney, so don't get us wrong. It would be great if they could find a upright bass player.I am from southwestern Virginia,town of Clintwood, home to Ralph Stanley and believe me I know what real bluegrass sounds like. The electric bass is going to distort the sounds of the other instruments, especially my seasoned ears.
