Message:		You need to be your best fan and get used to talking up your books and yourself, as a writer. When my first book came out, I focused a lot of attention on online marketing by joining writers' discussion and marketing groups. I sent out press releases to the local papers announcing the release of my book and I was rewarded with an interview from one of the papers and a feature article was done. I contacted the local libraries to set up some book signings and readings and I did some speaking engagements at local junior high schools for their career days. A website is a very important part of PR for a writer in this day and age...and now the Blog has become another great marketing tool.
